Finance Manager (F&I)
This role is suited for an outgoing and motivational individual who enjoys a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Finance & Insurance Managers offer vehicle financing and insurance to customers, provide them with a thorough explanation of aftermarket products, extended warranties, and a complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Seeking new lending institutions and maintaining good working relationships to secure competitive interest rates and financing programs
- Process financing and leasing deals accurately and secure approval through financial sources via proper federal, state, and corporate channels
- Accurately desk deals, submit deals to lenders for approval, make credit decisions, and effectively close deals
- Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the new/used-vehicle and finance departments
- Create and maintain a program with the sales department to ensure all new sales are referred to the F&I department
- Train and provide the sales team with information on finance and lease programs, as well as the benefits of the dealership’s financing and extended service programs
- Fully proficient with title laws and registration processes
- Ensure expeditious funding of all contracts
- Demonstrate a steady work history and commitment to building a career
- Possess an outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships (i.e., a "people person")
- Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software and internet proficiency
- Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills with a professional appearance
- Must possess the ability to ask for the sale and follow through
